These rules are not set in stone, as the NGB Commish, I have the right to change the rules if need be.
Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns or
comments.

NGB
Rules
|
|
OK, these are the rules for the sim, please follow these rules so that the sim will run as smooth as possible, I know that they are a pain in the butt, but where would the sim be without rules. Just check these out if you ever have any questions. If you still have a question or need to ask me something feel free to IM me at TrueBiznatch or send me an email at TrueBiznatch@msn.com. Without further a due, here are the rules for NGB:
If you still have a question or need to ask me something feel free to IM me at TrueBiznatch or send me an email at TrueBiznatch@msn.com. I might need to change some of these rules if I have to, but trust me, I will inform all of you if such changes happen. Without further adieu, here are the rules for New Generation Baseball:
The League
- New Generation Baseball (NGB) is a free league that uses Out of The Park Baseball 4 for PC.
- I will sim on both Tuesdays and Saturdays. I usually alternate between a month and then 2 weeks. I may change this, but I will inform you.
- I expect all of you to act as mature as possible. Just because someone doesn’t want to do a trade, this doesn’t give you the right to talk trash. Just be mature, this will make the sim run smooth.
- I am not a trade freak, but I do expect you to try. Why join a sim if you don’t feel like trading and making your team win. If you don’t try, you will be replaced.
- If for some reason you say something bad to another owner, I will warn you, but that is your only chance. The next time you will be fired, no questions asked.
- I am not going to tolerate immature behavior, this is for all of our enjoyment, don’t ruin it.
The Responsibility of NGB GMs
I think it is very important that you send me a roster of your team each sim. There are two things that not sending your roster in show me as the owner. One, you don’t care about your team and secondly, you want your team to be crappy because the computer will generate your lineups. Also, the time that the rosters are due is final, if you want to send in your lineup, it must be before the given time. This is an example of what your subject should look like. Subject: Anaheim Angels Roster. It is very simple, and it helps me out a great deal.
- I have created a message board for the benefit of all NGB GMs. Here, you can post your trades, so other people can see. Also, here is where you will post players on the trade block, or any other piece of information you want to share with the sim.
- Know the NGB League
Rules
- Manage your club to the best of your ability.
- If you are going out of town, or you are swamped with school, just let me know. It is a little thing that will show me that you care about the sim. This will also help me out, so I don’t think you aren’t inactive.
Follow the rules, and stay active, that’s all I ask.
The
Responsibility of the Commish
As the Commish of NGB, I will work my hardest to keep the sim run as smoothly as possible. It is my job to hire/fire GMs, keep the site accurate and updated, sim, along with many other things.
I will try and update the site at least once a day, sometimes this won’t happen. Just like all of you, I have a life and school to think about beside the sim. So if I get far behind, please don’t IM me asking me when I am going to update and get to everything, I will get to it as soon as possible. Also, if a sim date is going to be different then it’s usual day, I will let you know far in advance, so don’t freak out. TrueBiznatch@msn.com.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me any time. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

How
to Manage Your Organization
|
|
Player Trades
The NGB does not allow
the trading of Draft Picks.
You are allowed to make as many trades as you want. In fact I actually like people to trade a lot.
Upon reaching a trade
agreement with another General Manager, BOTH GMs are required to send an email to TrueBiznatch@msn.com saying the following
New York Yankees Get:
1B Jason Giambi (Active)
Colorado Rockies Get:
1B Todd Helton (Active)
LF Jack Cust (AAA)
Both GMs are required to send it in, or atleast one send and the other has to reply. If this doesn’t happen, I won’t process the sim. Also, the parenthesis indicate where you would like the player to be sent to.
Moving Players between
the Majors and the Minors, Off and On the DL
GMs are
responsible sending me the transactions with in their organization. I am not going to guess, so if you want it done, send it to me.
Here is an example of what I would like it to look like. Subject: Arizona Diamondbacks Roster Moves. Inside it should look like. Arizona Sends Down then the player name, and the same for bringing someone up.
Managing your Line Ups and Rotations
NGB GMs are required to send me both your lineups and your rotation before a sim. Also, make sure that both AL and NL GMs send both a lineup with and without a DH. If you don’t, during the Interleague play, the computer will generate your roster. This may be good, this may be bad. Depends on what the computer does.
Cutting Players from
your Roster or Farm System
Post the names of the players that you would like to send packing in the an email. It is as easy as that.

NGB
Financial and Market Structure
|
|
Ticket Prices
To reflect the reality of major league clubs and setting ticket prices, ticket prices may only be changed at the All Star Break, or at the end (or beginning depending on how you look at it) of a season. Ticket prices may range from $1 to $20.
The only revenues that
a team receives that are unique are those generated
by its Attendance Revenue, Merchandising Revenue, and Broadcast Revenue. The better your team performs,
the more tickets you will sell.
Market Structure of
the NGB
The NGB will have all
market sizes and fan loyalties set to average. Fan Interest
is set to 50. Once league play begins, these will not
be changed. As a team does well, its ratings will improve.
As it fails to perform, so will it's ratings.

Free
Agency
|
|
In Season Free Agency
GMs are allowed to sign a maximum of two FA a day. You can sign as many as you want, until your FA money runs out. It will be a first come, first serve basis. Send me how much you want to sign them for, and for how many years.
Resigning Players/Free Agent System
During the resigning period, I will take each GM into a chat room and have them roll a die to see how many players they have a chance to resign. Each GM will roll one die, six sides and the number that comes up will be how many players they have a chance at resigning. You will roll be typing //roll-dice1-sides6. You get one shot, this is all luck, and it is the fairest way to do things. If you get a 6 great, if you get a 1, choose your best player to resign. Moving onto FA, after all the GMs have resigned, then the FA signing will happen. The last place team will have the first pick at the FA left, and so on down to the World Series Champion, who will have the last pick. This is the best way to do it, so that’s what we are going to do.
- Starting next season, I am going to shake it up a little bit, and add other ways to get points toward the FA draft.
And so it ends, thankfully. Those are the rules, if you have any questions you can IM me at TrueBiznatch or you can email me at TrueBiznatch@msn.com, that is all for now. Check back later to see if other rules have been added.
