Constructing A Intake
heres the picture above of the outcomeSteps: Buy a non turbo around 96 model Eclipse air intake off of ebay ~heres the tricky part, ~your going have to take off the old black box looking thing on the right ~heres how i did mine ~take fuse box thing off, it has plastic pops ~put it to the side ~unscrew all the screws you can find on the big ugly black box thing that holds ur air filter, ~remember this thing goes under your fender so you'll have to take your wheel off n keep a jack there ~take the bottom plastic off-ur fenderwell lining ~You'll see a curved mass of black crap ~thats what u want out-its part of ur old air system ~notice the screw goes in bottom onto ur washer fluid container ~theres one there n one in front ~i took a match n burned off the ends underneath that holds onto ur washer fluid tank.. dont burn the whole thing, just the little stob where the screw goes into or take u a little dremel n grind it off and theres another one in front ~after that just yank the whole thang out ~after you accomplish the hardest task on this project ![]() ~Take old black hose off ~cut right above the air sensor on the hose ~slip the new custom hose on ~I used the clamps as you can see in picture ~adjust it n tighten ~make sure you have room cause my sensor at the end is laying directly next and onto the side of the power steering there ~take knife and wallow out a little inside blue hose ~slip it where its tightly over the intake sensor on top of your manifold intake ~I went over my blue intake and came around and slipped a 90 degree fitting and slipped it onto the hole on the blue intake pipe ~i only did this cause my hole from pipe wasn't directly facin the manifold intake.. instead it was going down to the ground ~there you go your finished ~take off battery cable @ least 15 minutes ~reconnect cable n test drive ~this resets ur computer for the adjustments ~the difference- better flowin air and you can feel ~your engine in ur gas pedal now ..lol now this is what i did, i thought it was better than configuring one up from pipe n etc when i can buy one in blue or polished n use my head.. any questions email me @ its2nv4@yahoo.com
