As usual, The Young and the Restless/The Bold and the Beautuful's Rainbow Room luncheon provided a glorious launch [to the Emmy parties]. Melody Thomas Scott stopped chain-smoking ("Isn't it awful? I'm quitting on Sunday, so between now and then I'm smoking as much as I can") to browse the buffet even though she had dinner reservations at Alain Ducasse, the most expensive restaurant in the city, if not the world; that distinction probably applies to Ducasse's Paris branch, where MTS has also dined.
