| I was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and started playing guitar at the age of 14. I started off self taught by reading books and guitar mags. I took a month here and there over the next 4 years when I was in high school. I moved to Reno was I was 17 to go to college and that's where I started my first real band, Convicted Innocence. I played all the clubs in Reno with Convicted for two years, we saved up enough money and recorded our first C.D. The band had some good sucess in Reno. We got decent radio play and we opened up for Jackal, Dokken and Queensryche in front of 6,000 people at the Reno Hilton. Around the time the band start to break, I started my teaching career at Maytan Music. I started off with a small number of students which has know grown to over 45 students a week. Convicted started to fall apart in the summer of 98' and I decided to play around town with a couple of bands. I got to meet some great musicians and play different styles of music. At this time I started to play and host some open mic nights around town and I started developing my own style. Convicted got back together for a short but sweet reunion and that's when I started to play in different bands with the bass player and drummer of Convicted. I am currently playing with the band Audiobox. It's a really cool band that includes my bass player and drummer from convicted as well as a young, great guitar player named Andy Kimberly. We are getting ready to start writing together, which should produce some cool stuff(I hope) The big project I am taking on is my first instrumental album. I have a lot of ideas for this album and I will be putting together the basic ideas over the next couple of months. Stay tuned and thanks for visiting. |
