Changing your settings

You came to this page because my images look shotty on your monitor. When you finish here the images should look much better even if significantly smaller. And you can always go back to the original settings. One day I will upload higher resolution images suitable for bigger monitors like my brother's 21" Trinitron (but you might not like the download time). One day I hope to have my own 21" monitor.

I only know how to do this for Windows 95/98. Win 3.1 and MAC users are on their own. (sorry, I am not enough of a geek to be able to help all comers) If you don't want to consult the Help utility in windows, here (I think) is how you go about doing it:

  1. click "start", "settings", "control panel"
  2. double click "Display"
  3. Below the blue title bar you will see a tab labeled "Settings" Click it.
  4. now, looking to right of the center of the window you see "Desktop Area" with a slider control labeled "Less" and "More"
  5. Note your original settings (so you can reset them later) and hold the pointer over the slider control, left click the mouse and drag the slider to the right
  6. Then click "Apply" and/or "ok". That should do it.
  7. Windows will probably ask you if you like what you see. Click "yes"
  8. Click on the "Back" button of your browser to get back to my Home page
