My earliest known Ralph is David Ralph b abt 1805 d bef 7 Feb 1876 md Hettie b abt 1810.

David and Hettie Ralph were in Bedford Co. TN on the 1830 Census. Perhaps they were married there.(Note:there was also a Lewis Tillman in Bedford Co in 1830 and he had a duaghter named Harriet Almeda Tillman. David and Hettie (Harriet?) had a daughter named Almeda and a son named Lewis. My father's middle name is Tillman. This could be a possible connection)

We next find a David Ralph on the 1840 Census in Coffee Co. TN. with 1 male under 5 and 1 female under 5.

We next find on the 1850 Ruterford CO. TN. Census the Following:
David Ralph (45), Hettie (41), Ann R.(18), Samuel B. (11), Andrew (8), Charles (3), Lewis (1/2). (I believe the Samuel B. is actually Thomas Ralph [see 1860 Davidson Co TN Census].

We next find on the 1860 Davidson Co TN Census the following:
"B." Ralph (55) Mrs. "H." (50), Thomas (21), Andrew (17), Almeda (15), Charles (13).

No 1870 Census found yet for David, Hettie, Thomas, or Andrew, etc.

We find T. T. Ralph on the 1880 Crockett CO TN page 201 Census as follows:
Thomas Ralph (30), Sis (27), Laura (7), Mollie (4), Charlie (2). There is also a Meda Ralph listed on page 196, probably Almeda Ralph.

We find on the 1880 Census of Montague Co TX page 424,the following:
Andrew Ralph (36), Adea or Adis (30), Ettie (2), Hettie (mother) (60), and a border named H. Davis (36) from NC. It shows Hettie as being born in TN and her parents born in VA. Also from this census we see that David Ralp was born in TN also.

We find on the 1900 Census of Montague Co TX the following:
Laura Coats b Sep 1861 (shold be 1871 as she was abt 9 on the 1880 Census of Crockett Co Tn. Willie Coats Oct 1891, Ethel b Oct 1893, Allie b Jan 1896, E. Coats b Aug 1898, Dora Ralph b Apr 1883 and is 17 years old. 2 doors down there is a Wil**** Ralph (54) md to Elizabeth (47). They were living next door to a Sam Carter that Laura Ralph Coats marries on 10 Jul 1890. Laura Ralph md J. E. Coats on the 3rd of Dec. 1890. A Mollie Ralph married T. W. Alexander on the 25th Day of Dec. 1898. Laura Ralp was born 30 Sep 1871 d 27 Feb 1925.
