Poetry of Larry Kibby's

Portrait of a Loveliness

Beauty can be a spiritual golden eagle in flight.
Or sunsets of happy colors beautiful and bright,
Adding magnificence and splendor to a natural right,
Which welcomes a sensational elegant sight.
That could be a portrait of a loveliness in the night.

Sunrises inflame an early morning sky,
Stirring a passionate charm in ones eye,
And the spiritual heart would forever fly,
Leaving no emotional question of when or why,
A portrait of loveliness would unfold so high.

Pleasant clouds dancing over the trees,
   Bringing about inspired floating leaves,
And the soft wind would charm ocean breezes
While excited snow cap waves frolic in the seas,
And the portrait of loveliness remains forever free.

The color of nature is like a golden dream,
Showing creation as it should be seen,
That all of life is magnificent and remarkably keen,
Even with brilliant sun rays and luminous moon beams.
And the portrait of loveliness indeed a romance of means.

So the portrait of loveliness will continue to be.
For all eternity to remember and see,
A genuine profile of beauty that is forever free,
A portrait of loveliness with a heart of tranquility,
For the portrait of loveliness is of a genuine reality!

Forever a solitary Indian, I’ll always remember beholding,
On a sad and lonely dark night,
A portrait of loveliness displaying a native face of beauty!

A Young Lady - Indian

     Young lady,
     With a golden smile,
     A twinkle of beauty
     In your eyes,
     You are on your path
     To becoming
     A woman.

     Young lady,
You walk with pride and dignity,
     You speak with care, wisdom
     And understanding,
     On your way
     To becoming
     A woman.

     Young lady,
     flowing with life,
     So full of energy.
     You are a ray of sunshine;
You light up the path you walk,
     On your way
     To becoming
     A woman.

     Young lady,
     You are Indian,
     A unique breath of life.
     You are warm and tender,
     As smooth as silk,
     And full of love,
     On your way
     To becoming
     An Indian woman!

A Quality Woman

     With hair golden brown,
     Almost black,
     Skin as smooth
     As silk,
     A calm appeal
     Of Serenity,
     A woman of quality;
     Indian born!

With eyes as dark as night,
     Eyes that give your face
     A warm and caring look;
     A look one knows
     Comes from within,
     You are
     A woman of quality;
     Indian born!

     With features so unique,
     You awake a person
     Deep in thought
     Aware of your presence,
     You are of the heart
     As you are to the soul and mind;
     You are
     A woman of quality,
     Indian born.

     As a woman
     You shall
     Be a wonder;
     A beauty
     Never-ending;
     A perfect picture
     Of life
     As life
     Should be.
     You are
     And always will be
     A woman of quality,
     Indian born!

Indian Woman, How You Dance

     Woman,
     With a pride
     You stand so tall
     In a buckskin dress
With Eagle feathers in your hand
     And your hair in braids,
     An admiration of beauty
     You with your shawl,
     For you are an
     Indian Dancer.

     You move as graceful
     As a deer,
     Quiet and daring,
And the way you spin and almost fly
     Like an Eagle,
     You are an
     Indian dancer.

     Indian woman.
     You dance,
     Sometimes slow,
     Sometimes fast.
     no matter how you dance
     You carry yourself
     As no other woman can.
     You are an
     Indian dancer.

     Indian woman,
You are a symbol of beauty
     When you dance,
     So eloquent in your style.
You are a gift to the heart,
     Soul and mind
     Of those who admire you.
     You are an
     Indian dancer.

     So for now Indian Woman,
     You are unique,
     A pride of our nations,
Always you are an Indian dancer,
     An Indian woman.

The Indian Woman,
   A Mortal Conviction of Beauty

   Indian Woman,
   Your are forever,
A genuine reflection of your race
With a radiant smile always upon your face,
Your individuality a loving sparkle of delight,
An intellect full of achieved power and might,
An Indian woman whose style and grace foretells,
   A mortal conviction of beauty.

   Indian Woman,
Your magnificence honestly secures all passion,
Satisfying the soul with subdued compassion,
   Your angelic princely eyes
An Illumination of the heavenly blue skies,
   You are
An Indian woman whose style and grace foretells,
   A mortal conviction of beauty.

   Indian Woman,
Your spirit is full of pride, honor and dignity,
   A memory of ancestral infinity,
Securing the tenderness of the time,
Invoking an intimate portrait in the mind,
   Your are
An Indian woman whose style and grace foretells,
   A mortal conviction of beauty.

   Indian Woman,
   You are...
A universal shadow positioned with the relations,
A celestial body representing the sovereign nations,
And forever upon mother earth you will walk the land
Above, beyond and before all of man,
For your people know you as
An Indian Woman whose style and grace foretells
A mortal conviction of beauty and life.
