Mission Statement
P.R.I.D.E. Youth is committed to providing las vegas's gay,lesbian,bisexual,questioning,and transgender youth the necessary support and understanding for their spirituality and developing identity. P.R.I.D.E. Youth is dedicated to developing a foundation of quality programs through social,recreational,and educational services. P.R.I.D.E. Youth will promote love of oneself and our community,enabling our youth to gain life skills,make positive choices,and develop strong values that will help them operate in an independent manner.
Vision
We shall leave for future generations a legacy of acceptance and instill in them a love for every person,regardless of gender,race,religion,handicap,sexual orientation,favorite ice cream,or any other difference,that makes us unique individuals. We will teach the importance of love and diversity through actions and examples. The best and most effective example is a "Love of oneself". This is why we have formed P.R.I.D.E. Youth.
P.R.I.D.E. Youth is a gathering place for young people to be with those in their own age group who are going through or have gone through many of the same difficulties and therefore help each other. It has been created to be a safe enviroment,free from harassment,and discrimination and where fears and anxieties shared,masks and facade discarded,allowing friendship to form and the spirit of love to flow. P.R.I.D.E. Youth is proactive,so the world will be aware of us and our causes.
