Dirty Dancin'...

I'm sorry, but this is an essential aspect to the whole Art of Seduction. As a result, I'm dedicating a whole page to this important process. I don't know why I'm writing this section up, I mean, this is Grace "Dirty Dancin'" Chau's domain! But apparently the gauntlet has been passed onto me... 

Oh well.. I'll do my best =)

What to wear

If you're a girl, you know what your best "assets" are, and I urge you to "display" them in the most provocative/evocative manner possible without being entirely naked. <---- That's for when you two are on the couch (j/k - or perhaps not?) Guys, just look suave and typically "handsome". It's all very simple and straightforward.

The Music

Anything is really just what you make it, so the scope of musical possibilities really are limitless. Any recommendations though? Here's some sure-fire hits...

• Craig David (and other R&B-dance stuff)
• UK two step underground garage (e.g. Artful Dodger, Mj Cole, Groove Armarda)
• Tango-ing music (to fire one up)
• Hard NRG/Techno - MOS or Gatecrasher comilations are usually quite good as is Happy Hardcore stuff (that's to you, Ozzie)

Starting Up

The idea of dirty dancing is to start nice and slowly. Choose some hot victim and set about "converting" them to your ways. There is no point in speeding things up when the aim of the whole thing is for you two to dance throughout the night as though no one else is there. As a result, just start dancing relatively "innocently" and slowly, but surely move to a more racier tempo. Remain in tune with the music and when the pace speeds up a tad, then is the time to move. Just pretend that "all I want to do is just dance". 

Another method is to party away like two-year olds until either of you initiates the whole thing with "the Look". This is my personal favourite... 

How to do "the Look"

It's very simple...

1. Suddenly stop dancing or slow your speed. Make sure he/she knows you've stopped dancing/slowed down and look into your partner's eyes.  

2. Look at him/her. With an almost disinterested expression, look to the side, quickly then shift your gaze up.

3. Slowly move your gaze down your partner's body until you reach their feet. 

4. Let your eyes linger there for a little while and then suddenly, look into your partner's eyes. 

5. Do whatever you usually do with your lips to make them look irresistible (e.g. gently lick them with your lips).

6. Look at your partner again and let a smile/look of interest slowly spread across your face.

After that...

After giving your partner "the Look", make sure he/she looks as though they're more than "interested". The aim of "the Look" was to create the Smirnoff-ad-effect (i.e. I wonder what he/she's really like?... 75% Pure?)

If you think that you've created some "interest", keep on dancing until you two are close enough for you to wrap your arms around your partner (girls - around your guy's neck, guys - around the girl's waist. If you two aren't facing each other, the guy should put his hands on her waist and the girl should cross them over her front so she's holding his hands). Remember to maintain eye contact or give it in fleeting, teasing moments. 

The Mechanics

The whole dirty dancing experience is incomplete without the general cat and mouse feeling. Without giving too much away, the idea is to give the impression that although you two are having a great rip-roaring time, it is a one-night thing, even if you two are going steady. Remember that nothing is to be taken for granted and so the whole idea of this style of dancing is to captivate your "victim" to the point where they cannot bear to part from you for the night.   

And then let your magic work... I can't really give much on this because it's a very individualistic thing and different for everyone although after consulting with some people, I have compiled a list of some "tried and tested" moves... the names usually say enough...

• Yoyo  - up and down, down and up, slow or fast, fast then slow, you choose.
• the Sandwich - "So is that his?... OMG!" Yes... you have to be that close. 
• Roaming... - just use your hands and... explore?
• Beckon and follow - feign disinterest, watch for your partner's confidence to start to crumble/spirit to break and then draw him/her in again as though nothing had ever happened.
• Turns - I dunno... they're fun and the isometric ones prove that you can move only one part of your body at a time. (One particularly good one for girls is to move your leading arm arm followed by your torso, hips, legs and following arm - ALL SEPARATELY and in quick succession of each other!) 
• Or alternatively, just vigorously move the parts of your body which look good more than the ones which are okay/crap. 

However, there are also a few move which are not to be attempted during dirty dancin'. These include...

• Any 80's moves - These include the "dental floss", "box", "snorkeling" 
• Break dancing  - This is particularly directed to the guys. Break dancing is far too individualistic and no fun for your date! 
• Moshing - The risk of stepping on each other's feet is far too high.
• Untried moves - They might look shit so don't run the risk of social castration. 
• Square/barn dancing - It is just not done... I'm sorry...
• Egyptian influenced stuff  - No walking sidewards and the like, thankyouverymuch.
• Talking - Just none of the verbal kind... let your body do all of the communicating. ^^

Well, that's about as far as I can offer for advice... I mean, I wouldn't want to give away all my secrets! ^^
