BRIYANI ( serves 2)

 INGREDIENTS :

1. Basmati rice  - 2  tumbler
2. Chicken (small pieces)  or Mutton or mushroom- 1/2
kg
3. Onion - 2 (big) - chopped
4. tomato - 2 (chopped)
5. green chilli - 6 nos. or chilli powder -   1 1/2
spoon
6.  pudina - handfull (sliced)
7. Garam masala powder - 1/2 spoon(small)
8. ginger, garlic paste - each 1/2 spoon
9. turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon
10. oil - 1/4 tumbler or 50ml
11. salt - 2 spoon
12. Ghee - 2 spoon

Method :

keep the pressure cooker and add oil ,ghee after it
gets heated add the ginger, garlic paste, garam masala
powder , onion and fry them nicely. Add the pudina,
tomato, turmeric , chicken pieces and mix them. Add  2
tumbler water ,then add  the salt. Close and keep it
for 10 min (i.e do not put the whistle just close the
cooker).  check whether chicken is boiled (i.e it
should be soft). Then  add the 3 tumblers of water and
put the washed rice . mix them and taste the water if
salt is not sufficient  then add it .And  again close
it. cook for 5 min.(if u can reduce temp then keep it
in medium temp)

**  For mutton briyani - koncham athika neeram
vegavaikavum
** For curd pachidi slice the onions, add the salt
with curd. Mix them.
