The Low Country Repeater System

Bringing Together Repeater Owners, And Users In South Carolina

The Low Country Repeater System was not formed to function as a club.
Its' purpose is to bring together the Fine Resources of Ham Radio in effort to maintain a communications system that will be priceless to our communities during times of emergencies.

The LCRS was founded as an effort to provide assistance to Clubs, And Repeater owners around the state.

The LCRS has been instrumental in returning many repeaters to the air, and currently provides, or assists in the Technical Maintainance of those,as well as many others.

The LCRS Supports a system of linked repeaters, It is an open system, available for use by all amateurs.
The only time that portions of the system would be unavailable is for reasons of technical difficulty.

Ownership of the repeaters and the link radios in most cases will be private, and therefore are beyond the political control of any group. If a club or other repeater owner desires to make their repeater a participating station in the system, the operational criteria, technical standards, and characteristics of the system will have to be met and adhered to. The system will operate as if it were one "Super Repeater" with very wide area coverage.

Anyone desiring to participate in any way should contact N7GZT
