My Job
I am a member of the 99th Services Squadron located
at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada. My squadron is
responsible for food service operations, hotel
management and sports and fitness. These activities
seem harmless and safe, but they are needed and used
in war zones. My unit and units like mine are
currently deployed to areas such as South Korea,
Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait and Bosnia. My
particular unit (food service) has won best in Air
Combat Command-1996, best in the Air Force
worldwide-1997, best in the Air Combat Command-1997,
best in the Air Combat Command-1998, and we are currently competing for best in the Air Force Worldwide-1999. Receiving these awards definately says something about the people I work with. I have been proud to serve in the 99th Services Squadron for the last 3 years.
