Chapter 1: Earth and Metal
In the Upper World: Himi: Carmen! Evelyn! Guess what! Carmen: What’s up Himi? Evelyn: Yeah, what’s going on? Himi: I got invited to Otokono Hito’s embassy ball tonight! Carmen: How did you pull that off? Kana comes up behind Himi and puts his hand on her shoulder. Kana: Pull what off? Evelyn: Hey I heard about you two. Congrats! Kana: Thank you. But what exactly did she pull off? Carmen: You didn’t hear? I thought you seniors knew everything. But anyway, she was the only one from this school to be invited to Otokono Hito’s party. Tei: Himi? It was you! Why didn’t you say anything in homeroom? Amazing! Kana: Uh! I don’t really see why it so amazing. Himi: It’s at the American embassy! But don’t worry. I’ll be by your side always. Tei: Hey did you all hear? When I was in the office they were talking about two more transfer students coming in today. Evelyn: I know this is really an international school, but so many students coming in right before summer break! Tei: They both came from a school in Hong Kong. Ones a junior named Keb Moswen. He’s from South Africa. The others a girl form Quebec, Canada. Her name is Gin Huyana. Himi: Tei you really need to stop eavesdropping on everybody’s business! It’s a nasty habit. Evelyn: Well, I don’t care if he doe’s eavesdropping! Tei always got the juiciest gossip! Himi: Don’t encourage him! Lunch is almost over and I have to get to math class early. Kana, I’ll see you tonight before the ball okay! Iuvart: My gosen has detected another innocent. His father is the Japanese embassitor to the U.S. His son is hosting the ball tonight. His name is Otokono Hito. He has inadvertently invited many of the innocents on the list for capture. Rika: Really? Well I hope you intend on getting many of them. Iuvart: Of course I intend on getting all of them. I will trap all those who are at the Embassy Ball tonight and steal their souls in your name. Iuvart then turns and leaves. Rika: Verrine! Come forth! Verrine: Yes. Is it now my chance to be a humble soldier? Rika: No. you must learn to be a bit more patient. Verrine: Well I am the demon of impatience. Rika: Even though this is so, I have an assignment for you. Verrine: What is it? Rika: I have noticed that Iuvart has been distracted since he went to earth to capture Asmodeus. Follow him. Make sure he does not fail on this mission. At Himi’s apartment : Himi: Okay Kana! What do you think? Kana: You look wonderful. He walks over and takes her hand. Himi: And I’m still wearing my engagement ring. Kana: I’m glad. Himi: I want you to come with me to the embassy. Kana: Why? Himi: I’ve got this feeling that something is going to happen tonight. I don’t know what it is though. Uriel came to me in a dream and told me that an event mixed with goodness and evil will occur. Kana: How unusual. Well, It’s a good think that I brought my tuxedo then, eh? Himi: You were planning on sneaking in all along weren’t you? Kana smiles. Himi: I’ll call Aure. Himi in to wrist communicator: Aure, meet Kana and me at the embassy. Aure’s voice: Got it! See you there. Male: Hmm. The embassy? Female: Oh yeah! There’s a ball there tonight. Male: Lets get going then. Female: Wow. A ball! Beautiful women in beautiful gowns and handsome men in lovely tuxedos. Male: You must keep your mind on this mission. We must meet the Soul Warriors there. Female: Don’t be so dull! Himi: You look fabulous in your tuxedo. My Tuxedo Kana! Aure: I’m here. Himi: Okay. Ready? Kana: Me and Aure will find another way in and meet you inside. Himi: Right. From there Kana and me will cover on end of the ballroom and you will cover the opposite end. They all go off in their own directions. Iuvart: (Watches them seperate then turns around and looks behind him) Verrine. I know you have been following me. Come out. Verrine: Damn, and here I though I was so clever. Iuvart: Since you’re here, stick around. All those innocents you see shall be mine to deliver to Rika. (In the ball room Iuvart sees Aure off by her self.) Iuvart: Verrine, I’ll be back in a minute. Otokono: Himi. I’m glad you could make it. May I have the pleasure of this dance? Kana: I’m afraid she’s spoken for. Himi? Himi: Thank you. Kana and Himi begin to dance. Otokono looks diappointed. Aure watches Himi and Kana stare in to each other’s eyes and dance. Aure: How lucky they are. I wish I had somebody to dance with. She turns around and sees Iuvart staring at her. Iuvart: May I have this dance, pretty lady? Aure:That voice. So rich and thick. Iuvart. Iuvart: Here. Iuvart holds out his hand then leads her out on the dance floor. Iuvart: Listen Aure. Iuvart: I have to disappear for a while. Rika already has my replacement following me. She is the female demon of impatience, Verrine. Iuvart: I also want you to take this. He hands her the gosen. Aure: What is it? Iuvart: It’s called a gosen. It can detect innocents. Get the others and warn them. The demon is heliophobic. Use fire. Iuvart kisses her on the check and says goodbye. Aure: Good bye. Aure in to communicator: Kana, Himi the enemy is here. We have to go and transform. Himi’s voice: Are you sure? Male voice from communicator: Look out. There’s a demon above you! Himi: Who was that? How did he tap into this frequency? Himi: That doesn't matter now.There’s no time to hesitate. Himi: Fire Soul! Kana: Water Soul! Aure: Air Soul! Earth‘s Streamer! It hits the demon and sends it crashing to the ground. A male confronts it and starts to try and fight it but dodges his attacks. Himi notices a symbol on his forehead. Himi: Fire‘s Wildfire! Female voice: Metal‘s Streamer. All: Bind us to this power of truth and passion; Bind us to the service of the Lord and Lady. Let our work be of truth, and of power. Let all good things proceed from this moment in time. Ioelet we invoke thee to banish this unholy creature. Verrine: Dammit! Verrine heads back to the lower world. Rika: Well? Where are the vast innocents I was promised? Verrine: The Soul Warriors were there and two new ones appeared and stopped Iuvart’s demon. Rika: Where is Iuvart? Verrine: He disappeared shortly before the battle. The Soul Warriors must have finished him off after the killed the demon. Rika: Why do I surround myself with imcompetenats who can do nothing but bring me back news of failure? Aure: Thank you for assisting us. Who are you though? Male: I am the most natural element, Earth. Female: And I am the unnatural element, Metal. Himi: Welcome to the team. Metal: Wow! You were so cool! I loved the way you handled that demon. Himi: Thanks. Earth: What a lovely ring. Who’s the lucky guy? Kana: I am, actually. Kana: Care for one last dance? Himi: Yes. Aure:Iuvart. Thank you for saving me. You will always be in my heart. Now and forever.
