This is my dad.
A man who spent many years in the military, first in the
Air Force during World War II and Korea, and then in the National Guard for
20 years. A strong forceful man, who believe when his country called he had to
go. He taught me that freedom isn't free, someone had to pay for it. He
taught me to believe in myself and what I could do, because according to him "I
could do anything I put my mind to." He believed in me and all of my
brothers and sisters. I dedicated this page to him and to all the other men in
my life who have believed in me and said "yes you can" And to all those men and
women who gave their all, so I and my children and my loved ones could be free.
Dad, this is for you. I know you can see me and hope you are proud of how I turned
out.
I Love You, Dad.

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'm proud to be an American
Lee Greenwood
I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again
with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars
to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
and they can't take that away
where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave the right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
