day off

Bernie and Lloyd at an old bridge.

In the sunshine Bernie and Lloyd.

A picture of the Oregon Creek bridge built in 1860.

The interior of the Oregon Creek Bridge.

This sign explains when the bridges was build.

This is a picture of a falls that we stopped at in the Lake Basin Recreational area between Truckee and Qunicy Ca.

This is a picture of Sand Pond the reason for the name is because it has sand in the bottom of the pond left over from all the tailings that was dump there. Later on when techniques were improved they came back and took the tailings and ran them through a cyanide process. Could some of the Gold settled tothe bottom of the pond? Just above this pond is a Lake called Sardine Lake which has more water and is rougher choppy, water. Thats the reason we picked Sand Pond to use our boat in, the only thing is that when we began to pump the boat up mosquitoes attack us, and completely discouraged us from going any further with our plans.
