Essential Oil Page

Essential Oils
Essential oils are found in herbs, plants, flowers, fruits and the bark, roots or resin of some trees. Even if you think you have never  come across these oils before, all of us are affected by them each day. Every time you peel an orange, the essential oil squirts out of the tiny pockets in the peel and, because it is so volatile, instantly evaporates into the air releasing its bitter-sweet, tangy, citrus  smell. And whether you notice or not, the orange oil has a refreshing but relaxing effect. Essential oils are so complex and magical that no one really knows what they are. Romantics and enthusiasts say they are the life force of a plant, similar to the human spirit.

Using Essential Oils
Essential oils have wonderful smell, improving health and well-being with there magic ingredients, and  can be used through out  your home. I use them for many different things in my house from household cleaners , baths, soaps, room sprays, massages and body moisturizers these are a few of the things essential oils can be used for. I hope every 2 or 3 weeks i will have new way how  to use your oils.

ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT: Dark glass, stoppered bottles (find at wal-mart or craft store)*eye-dropper
*small  funnel for poring carrier oil into bottles
      * When creating your own essential oil recipes, for treatment or pleasure, keep them simple until you
had some  practice.  *Never apply undiluted essential oils to the skin
Massage is the most common way of using essential oils combining senses touch and smell   For a
body massage you will need a carrier oil  I prefer sweet almond oil but you can use sunflower or
safflower oil  and your essential oil.

2 fl. oz. of sweet almond oil in a dark glass stoppered bottle and with your eye dropper  add 11 drops
of  patchouli and shake. Before massage put content of  bottle in bowl your hand's will become slippy
