Comments:

On this third album, you begin to chart the drawing for the later T Rex. Although many songs are still characterized by a somewhat loose and unfinished overall impression, Marc Bolan does show on a number of tracks that his songwriting is under great positive development. Especially the first half of the album (the original side 1 of the vinyl album) makes a positive impression. Here you will find great songs like "The Seal of Seasons", the straight catchy "Catblack", with Tony Visconti on piano and "She was born to be a Unicorn", which is at the same time catchy and psychedelic.

As a whole, there are still too many "loose" songs to make this a really successful album; it is, however, a clear step in the right direction.
