Comments:

This album is an English version of Miss B. Haven’s third album, "Mellem Hjerter og Spar". The group usually recorded their songs both in English and Danish, and four English-language albums were released by the band, which over nine years in the period 1987-1996 released eight albums. Musically you may compare the band with American Bangles. Like Bangles Miss B. Haven were an all-female band with songwriter Lise Cabble at the forefront. They recorded and released a large number of great pop-rock songs; solid power pop, if you want.

On this 1992 album, which is perhaps the group's most homogeneous, we find several of their strongest songs. ”This Summer” (Til Sommer) is an irresistible pop rocker, with beautiful vocals and a catchy chorus. In the catchy power-pop genre we also find "Shadow" (Langt ud i Skoven), "Time After Time" (Den Fuldendte Værtinde), "Candy" (same title in Danish) and "Where do we do the Thing" ( Vent til vi ses igen). One of their most evocative songs is "I Live in November" (Jeg bor i November) is another great Highligt. More heavy and ballad-like is "It's a Dream" (Solen Skinner som ny). The final song "Baby Don’t you Cry" is a quiet, slightly waltzy, good night-type song; a really nice rounding of a great album.

Two songs on "Mellem Hjerter og Spar". ("We Don´t Worry" and "Break Down the Night") were already written in English and both are included here in unchanged form.

Really too bad that this fine group never broke through internationally.
