Comments:

Sonny and Cher's first album is in many aspects quite solid and interesting. Of course, first and foremost because of their classic hit "I Got You Babe", written by Sonny Bono and the almost equally strong "Just You" also written by Bono. Besides these two pearls Bono wrote for the album two more songs, but otherwise, it consists of a number of cover versions of some of the popular songs of the time, produced by Bono in Phil Spector style; mostly good but perhaps never really interesting. Best among these I find "Let it Be Me", "Then He Kissed Me" and "Why Do not they Let us Fall in Love".

The two singers quite different voices blend very well together, and the whole thing is performed with a good deal of charm.
