Bowie's 1977 Heroes album was recorded in Berlin at a time when Bowie was musically very experimental and personally I have to admit that with albums such as "Young Americans" and "Low" I was already beginning to lose interest in him. However, the Velvet Underground inspired title track is so strong that I have repeatedly sought to get into the album as a whole. I have never really succeeded, but I do find elements of classic Bowie in songs like "Sons of the Silent Age" and "The Secret Life of Arabia”.
