Comments:

The Moody Blues' seventh album, "Every Good Boy Deserves Favor" is, as its predecessors, both ambitious, beautifully arranged and nicely produced. The main reason for it never rings the bell for is that the individual songs simply are not strong enough. There are fine passages in them all, but only Justin Haywards great ”The Story in Your Eyes” manages to make lasting impression. This song became one of the group's biggest single hits and an emphasis that Hayward was the group's strongest card as a songwriter.

Unfortunately, this sympathetic group never came back to the inspiration that laid the foundations for classics such as "Days of Future Past", "In Search of the Lost Chord" or "A Question of Balance".

Fortunately, though, there were individual good songs on the many albums that followed during the 1970’s and 1980’s.
