Comments:

The Moody Blues’ 'To Our Children's Children's Children' from the end of 1969 was created and recorded under the impression of the recently successful moon landing in July of the same year.

Most often for Moody Blues, many of the songs are put into a general theme, and many of the songs slip into each other. Only one song of the album was selected as a single, Hayward’s and Thomas' "Watching and Waiting". This single did not do very well, and in fact only few songs of the album's will work out of its concept. A few exceptions could be Ray Thomas' "Floating", which almost sounds like a children's song a little like "Puff the Magic Dragon", and John Lodge's melodic ballad, "Candle of Life".

The album as a whole did quite well on the charts in 1969 and reached the top 2 in the UK. In 2018, however, the album may appear a bit too much as a time-piece and one of the Moody Blues albums which has not aged that well.
