Formed in Liverpool around 1958-59. First calling themselves Blue Genes and changing their name to the Swinging Blue Jeans when turning professional in 1962. In 1963-65 they had a string of big hits with songs like "Hippy Hippy Shake", "Good Golly Miss Molly", "Youīre No Good" and "Donīt Make Me Over"
Like it happened to many other Liverpool bands their success waned during 1965-66 and they finally split up in 1968.
With the renewed interest in music from the 60īs Ray Ennis reformed the band in 1973 and they have toured as a 60īs revival band up till recent years.

Ray Ennis: Born 1942, vocals and lead-guitar. Founder member and current leader of the band.
Ray Ellis: Born 1942, rhythm-guitar and vocals. Founder member and in the band until 1968.
Les Braid: Born 1937, Bass , vocals . Founder member and also in the reformed version of the band
Normann Kuhlke: Born 1942, drums.
Terry Sylvester: Born 1945 guitar and vocals. Member for a short period 1967-68. Left to join the Hollies
