My intension is to list animated Peanuts chronologically - a kind of checklist for collectors to get a quick overview of what has been issued. For more detailed information check out my links at the bottom of this page!


Animated Peanuts cartoons can be divided into different categories.

Short summary:

Short summary:

At summer camp, the boys compete and are seemingly hopelessly outmatched by the female campers. Eventually, there's only one chance the boys have to redeem themselves -- by pitting their champion wrist wrestler, the Masked Marvel (Snoopy), against the mighty Lucy.

Short summary:

In order to win the ever resistant Schroeder's affections, Lucy follows Peppermint Patty's advise and talks him into performing for a PTA meeting. Unfortunately, Patty, in her usual level of sensitivity, fails to mention until after Schroeder's agreement that only rock music will be on the program. Now Lucy, knowing that Schroeder would never agree to that, must find a solution.

Short summary:

Linus runs for the post of student body president with a vigorous and enthusiastic campaign, which receives a setback when he spreads the message of the Great Pumpkin. He wins the election by one vote - cast by his opponent, who feels that Linus is better for the job. He goes to the principal with the intention of laying down the law, but leaves the principal's office taken aback.

While Snoopy is shopping for a new home for Woodstock, Peppermint Patty is having a difficult time making Easter eggs with Marcie who hasn't the slightest idea of how to do that.

At Valentine's Day Charlie Brown dreams the seemingly hopeless dream to receiving a valentine from anyone. The rest of the gang have their own trials. Linus is struggling to get the biggest card he can for his beloved teacher, Lucy is trying to get some token from Schroeder while Snoopy and Woodstock are having fun spearing valentines on each other's nose.

Charlie Brown is one of the homecoming escorts, and is shocked when he finds out that he will be escorting the homecoming queen to the homecoming dance, mainly because she is the Little Red-Haired Girl, known in the animated shows as Heather. He is even more shocked when he finds out that before the first dance, he must give her a kiss.

Short summary:

Taking advantage of a newly acquired magic tricks kit, Snoopy decides to put on a magic act. For the finale, he turns Charlie Brown invisible, but he can't change him back right away. While Snoopy searches for the counter spell, Charlie Brown struggles with this bizarre problem, but realizes that he has a golden opportunity to finally kick Lucy's football.

Short summary:

Signing up late for the School Olympics, Charlie Brown becomes a contender in the only available, and most demanding, Olympic event, the decathlon. With great difficulty, Charlie Brown, and later Marcie, train for the event. On the day of competition, the pair face an arrogant opponent and Snoopy as well as the "Masked Marvel." During the contest, Charlie Brown proves to be a surprisingly viable competitor.

Short summary:

In the last few seconds of the broadcast of a football game, Charlie Brown sees a girl in the stands who he falls in love at first sight with. With the help of Linus, he goes on a hunt for the mystery girl. They finally track her down to a house in the country, but Charlie Brown is too shy to go to the door. Linus goes instead, and falls in love with her, not because of her appearance, but because she carries a security blanket. Fortunately for Linus, but unfortunately for Charlie Brown, she feels the same way.

Linus and Lucy find out that their father has been transferred to a job in another city, and that they must move. Everybody is upset about losing their friends, especially Sally Brown, who is losing her "sweet babboo." Happily, they return at the end of the episode because Mr. van Pelt did not like his new job. This is taken directly from a storyline in the comic, in which Charles Schulz writes them out of the comic, but brings them back after receiving angry letters from readers.

In this anthology, we see a series of stories are directly adopted from the Peanuts comic strip. These include Charlie Brown having strange visions and rashes of baseballs and becoming the admired summer camp president known only as "Sack" for the grocery bag he wears as a result. In another tale, Charlie Brown runs away to escape prosecution for literally biting his hated kite eating tree. Also Lucy determined to rid Linus of his security blanket over his protests.

Short summary:

They come away realizing what the impact of the wars was, and how important the sacrifice of thousands of soldiers supposedly was.
