These archives are cared for in local record offices and libraries, universities, museums and national and specialist institutions across England, where they are made available to the public. AIM25 is a major project to provide electronic access to collection level descriptions of the archives of over fifty higher education institutions and learned societies within the greater London area. The UK Data Archive is a specialist national resource containing the largest collection of accessible computer readable data in the social sciences and humanities in the United Kingdom.
