Bet Shan

Located on the eastern side of the Valley of Jezreel where the valley joins with the Jordan River Valley, this ancient city spans the history from the period of the Kings of Israel to the Roman Period.

The Roman City and the Tel

The Roman City lies in the foreground with its theatre and its collonade, but it is overshadowed by the hill on which have been found ruins from the days of Solomon and even earlier.

Solomonic Ruins

These ruins on the top of the tel date to the days of Solomon. He fortified this city, seeing its importance to the security of his Kingdom.

The Roman City

From the top of the Tel, one has a panoramic view of the Roman City, including the theare and the collonade.
