(October 1st, 2002)

LOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- Daryl Hannah is teaming with Brad Renfro and William Forsythe to star in the indie film "The Job" for director Kenny Golde and Platform Entertainment. Shooting is scheduled to start Nov. 6 in Los Angeles.

Golde also penned the script, which follows a female hit woman (Hannah) who desperately wants to get out of her job. She's faced with killing a pregnant woman and the woman's husband, only to become haunted by her own past when she also becomes pregnant.

Renfro will play the role of Troy, the reluctant drug-dealer husband, while Forsythe will star as Vernon, the head of the hit-man operation.

Platform Entertainment's Dan Levin and Marc Levin are producing along with executive producer Larry Gabriel and co-producer Scott Sorrentino. The project is budgeted at less than $5 million. Cinematographer Scott Kevan, who worked on "Cabin Fever," will be director of photography on "Job."

Hannah, repped by Chuck Binder, is before cameras on the Quentin Tarantino project "Kill Bill" for Miramax Films.

Renfro is repped by Writers & Artists Agency. He most recently starred on the big screen in "Deuces Wild" and "Ghost World."

Forsythe, repped by Writers & Artists and Geordie Frey at GEF Entertainment, recently starred in "City by the Sea," "John Doe" and "Technical Writer."

For the producers, the deals were negotiated by attorney Greg Bernstein. Platform has produced "Morgan's Ferry," starring Billy Zane and Kelly McGillis.

Golde has directed several "Intimate Portrait" specials at Lifetime Television, including ones on Kellie Martin, Lisa Rinna and Kelly Preston.
