ABOUT NTTF

NTTF A PROFILE: - NTTF was established in the year 1963 with assistance from the Swiss Government and HEKS, a development agency of Switzerland with a mission to promote a purposeful technical education for the youth in India.

Between 1963 and now NTTF training centres are spread out all over South India - Karnataka (Dharwad, Bangalore-Peenya, Bangalore-Electronics City), Tamil Nadu (Coimbattore, Vellore), Kerala (Tellicherry), Andhra Pradesh (Gannavaram).

The core areas of training are in the fields of Tool and Die making, Electronics, Technical Skills, Tool Design (Post Diploma level), Tool Engineering and Product Design (Post Graduate level) and Computer Applications. NTTF Technical Training Centre at Gannavaram is for rural youth and disabled. NTTF Electronics Centre at Electronics City, Bangalore is specifically for programmes in electronics. In the past three decades there is an increasing demand for qualified trainees from NTTF not only within the country but also abroad.

The resources to run the training activities are generated partly by conducting the external training programmes to suit specific needs of the industries in India and abroad. We are conducting programmes for institutions in Ethiopia, Mauritius and Maldives. Within India, few of our customers include Thapar DuPont Ltd., Damodar Valley Corporation, Dept. of Industries & Commerce-Govt. of Karnataka, ITC; etc. Attached project activities of training centres and surplus funds generated by the trust through its production units are among our other sources.
