I got here on the second days of my arrival into Bali. It wasn't in my plan at all to climb to its summit. But it happened that I got into a tourist trap -- the guide showed me this wonderful album full of beautiful pictures of the mountain. I told myself I have got to see it with my own eyes, so I decided to climb it.
We started very early (like 5am) and when I got to the summit, it was just about time for the sun to rise. It was a peaceful moment where everything seems so quiet and still, except the changing colors in the sky. I remembered sitting there watching the sun rose and thinking about my own life. I knew then that I am fortunate to be able to travel and enjoy life this way. Sometimes the nature has more to teach us than our life back home.
