Siem Reap Battambang
Temples of Angkor

Cambodia is one of my favorite countries. I visited the Angkor Wat-- one of the seven wonders in the world, and really had a good time there. In addition, the Cambodian people are very friendly and humble.

I went to Cambodia via Thailand by road. I crossed the border from Aranya Prathet in Thailand into Poipet the border town in Cambodia. From there I hopped to the back of a pickup truck and headed to Siem Reap. Although the distance is less than 200km, but it took me about 8 hours to reach my destination. Not to mention the bumpy roads and rains on the way. But at the end of the journey, I found the trip was worthy because I was truly amazed by the magnificent Angkor Wat.

I spent about a week in Siem Reap, saw most of the temples of Angkor. Then I took another pickup truck to Battambang the old capital and stayed there for a few days before going back to Thailand via the same way I came from.
