Darling,
We've been together now... how long? Long enough that I feel
safe with you. Long enough that I would never dream of wanting
anyone else. Long enough that I feel I know every sweet curve of
your face and body, every attitude and opinion. You are my
second skin.
And yet I can't help thinking back to the time when our love was
new. Remember how exciting it was? I never doubted that you
cared for me, yet I'd jump every time the phone rang, in case it
was you. Every time I saw a film, there'd be someone in it who
reminded me of you - your eyes, your hands, the way the light
shines on your hair. You were a constant delight, a whole new
world for me to explore.
I don't want to change you, but I wonder if we couldn't find some
of that old excitement once again. Be on your guard, my darling -
you may find things are a little bit different from time to time.
