GENERAL Any proposed development on this site, would destroy the character of the conservation area and is extremely unpopular among local residents. It would not, in the words of Town Plans, "…preserve views in and out of the town.". Considerable disquiet and protest has arisen locally over the possible loss of an area which represents unique value in the developing City of Milton Keynes. We do not believe that variation of condition 2 would bring about any plan for development that would inspire the confidence of the local community. Additionally it would unnecessarily extend an already lengthy period of uncertainty over the future of this site. We therefore urge members to reject these applications. |
