Hi cats and kitties...I'm Bear. I was born on April 8, 2004 and am a cute all-black male with adorable teddy bear eyes. I was adopted from the Houston Humane Society on July 17, 2004 when I was 14 weeks old (the kitty photo above is at 14 weeks). While living at the "Society" I was the most favored kitten among humans and was given much attention and hugs. I am extremely friendly, fearless and love to be picked up and cuddled. My sister, Ginger, was a bit perplexed when I popped out of my cat carrier the first day...you should have seen the look on her face! With her eyes wide and tale puffed, she began hissing and growling and throwing fits. I just looked at her like she was crazy, meowed "get over it" and headed for the food dish. The next day was somewhat of a spectacle when I playfully leaped into her penthouse suite at the top of her kitty condo...WOW was she ticked! Once the fur settled, I quickly realized that the top floor is NOT my territory (ex-cuse ME!). I then scampered onto the second floor, began purring at my new surroundings, and curled in for the day. These days Ginger is OK with me and we play and run around the house together, but she still slings attitude now and then, just to keep me in line [that big brat!].
