Cesky Krumlov

Introduction
Cesky Krumlov is a small town about 200km south of Prague. Its been highly recommended in many guidebooks, and certainly deserves all the attention. Its a great little place, with lots of things going on.

Things to See
  • Krumlov Castle

  • Church of St Vitus

A mixture of Gothic and Baroque interior make this worth a look.

  • Place to Stay
There are quite a few youth hostels in Cesky Krumlov, but all were beds were taken by the time I arrived (this is a very popular place with backpackers in the summer). Fortunately, I found a cheap pension room, which I shared with four other people, and it worked out almost as cheap. It was called Pension Tilia, and cost us about £6 each, including a fabulous breakfast.

    Address: Rooseveltova St

    Eating and Drinking

Papas restaurant is a great place serving mainly Italian food like pasta and pizza.

For a cheap fill up, Cikanska Jizba is perfect. It serves traditional Czech food, which is generally very stodgy and inexpensive.

Cesky Krumlov has its own brewery, which makes Eggenberg beer. The beer hall next door serves the cheapest beer I had in all my trip (under 20p a pint!).
