About my Art: I've been drawing since as long as I can remember (typical, yeah), and animals have always been my favorite things to draw. I was first inspired to create my own style and characters back in the 80's, when I would sit in my basement after school, playing oldschool Nintendo games. Video games have inspired me in the same way that cartoons inspire many animators.

I was making characters and drawing comics when I was 9. Plotless, random, and sloppily scrawled onto lined notebook paper, these weren't very impressive at all. But it was the first step in turning my art into what it is now. The comics were the first artistic thing I had ever devoted myself to. I continued to do them up until I was 14 and decided that I wanted something less like a comic strip, and more like something from an animated movie. From then on, I started to develop the style and characters that I have now.

Too stubborn to take classes, use how-to books, or read tutorials; I am a self-taught artist. I learn from observing life, and then trying to recreate it as I see as it in would appear in "my" world. My heaviest influence is still video games. Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, and Legacy of Kain are the most inspiring to me, because of their deapth and unique characters.

As for materials, I use a .5mm lead pencil; 01, 005, and 08 micron pens for inking; Adobe PhotoDeluxe HE 4.0 for coloring; Flash for spontanious shit, and acrylic paints for my paintings. I also use a Graphire2 4x5 Tablet, for Oekaki-art and any other digital crapola.

Other: I'm a loner, I don't have any (human) friends outside of the internet and I don't want any because people generally irritate me. Likewise, I don't want a girlfriend, as I am deeply sickened by the mention of love and expecially marriage. I currently live with my mother and two sisters (ages 13 and 22)... my father died in May of 2004. I drive an old black Honda and I work as a part-time maintenence person at a local department store. I also commission acrylic paintings (locally) for the sake of insurance payments and tacos.

Personality-wise I'm usually quiet and aloof, but I'm not without a short fuse and an explosive temper. I'm also extremely vindictive by nature. I don't trust hardly anyone, and I don't let many people get too close to me. I'm cold. I think too much about life and death, but I also have a sense of humor, however dark and spontanious it may be.

As mentioned before, I love video games, I've been playing them since I was 4-5 years old (Atari). Some of my favorite games are: Final Fantasy (especially 4, 6, 7 and 9), Resident Evil, Xenosaga, Legacy of Kain, Grand Theft Auto, Parasite Eve, Silent Hill (2 being my favorite), Twisted Metal, Wild ARMS 3, The Thing, Driver 3, and Fatal Frame. Not to mention oldschool Nintendo/SNES stuff..

I'm also into music. My dad taught me how to play guitar when I was around 6 years old. I have 3 guitars, a beat-up Crate Electra, a Seagull accoustic, and my favorite guitar in the whole world; my Washburn Mercury II electric. For the most part, I believe in musical diversity; I like many different styles of music, but my first love was reggae, and soon after; classic rock, blues, and metal. I also like almost any piece of music that strikes me deep, no matter what genre it is.

History of Xubhraezifal: Xubhraezifal (More commonly known as "Riot") is me. When I was 14, I created him as a meaningless side-character in one of my stories.
