About my Art: I've been drawing since as long as I can remember (typical, yeah), and animals have always been my favorite things to draw. I was first inspired to create my own style and characters back in the 80's, when I would sit in my basement after school, playing oldschool Nintendo games. Video games have inspired me in the same way that cartoons inspire many animators.
I was making characters and drawing comics when I was 9. Plotless, random, and sloppily scrawled onto lined notebook paper, these weren't very impressive at all. But it was the first step in turning my art into what it is now. The comics were the first artistic thing I had ever devoted myself to. I continued to do them up until I was 14 and decided that I wanted something less like a comic strip, and more like something from an animated movie. From then on, I started to develop the style and characters that I have now. Too stubborn to take classes, use how-to books, or read tutorials; I am a self-taught artist. I learn from observing life, and then trying to recreate it as I see as it in would appear in "my" world. My heaviest influence is still video games. Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, and Legacy of Kain are the most inspiring to me, because of their deapth and unique characters. As for materials, I use a .5mm lead pencil; 01, 005, and 08 micron pens for inking; Adobe PhotoDeluxe HE 4.0 for coloring; Flash for spontanious shit, and acrylic paints for my paintings. I also use a Graphire2 4x5 Tablet, for Oekaki-art and any other digital crapola.
