ZUKI-FEST 2002: June 28th-29th-30th
Note: well not to worry guys, we have 11 people regestered as of now so theres going to be the first annual zuki-fest this summer...........i can't wait, but please, if you planning on comming regester now.......if you regester and can't make it don't worry you don't HAVE to come just cause you regestered.......
This year will be the first zuki-fest and if all goes well we'll keep having them. The zuki-fest will be held on club member Mike's properity. There are 2 main trails that will be covered on this weekend, one of which is a 57KM powerline with lots of mud, rocks, hills, brooks, and a pretty large gully...... the second trail is an old entrance the the properity, very deep and thick goop..... on the campground there will be a place to set up tents, so you may camp on site, if you choose not to there is a local campground just down the road, also on the site we will try to get the "GULLY" cleared out so you guys can have a nice short rock crawl area to play on, also on site we will try to get an 20* RTI ramp built, and maybe try to get a teeter-toter to have some fun with........for the people who don't know what the RTI and teeter-toter are here it is: the teeter-toter is just something that you drive your zuki up on and try out your ballance........ the RTI is your zukis Ramp Travel Index, it measures how much your zuki will flex with a score, or how much wheel travel you have....... well if you have any questions e-mail me, and if you would like to come e-mail me so we can have a rough idea of how many people will be comming, any less than 10 suzukis we will not have it........so you can see how important it is to let us know you will be there(or are plannin on comming)so lets try to get as many prople to come as possible......:^)

| This pic shows us
the RTI ramp: As you can see from the pic of John Farley's Samurai on 38"s and a Jeep Tj, the RTI ramp is rater simple and just tests and puts a number on your suspention, the way it works is there is 3 common degree ramps, a 20*, 23*, and a 30*, if you make it up the ramp 75" with all 4 wheels touching the ground except the one on the ramp, and your wheel base is 79.9"(stock samurai) you take your distance up the ramp and devide it into your wheel base then multiply by 1000 75 / 79.9 X 1000= 938.6733 or "939" so you scored 939 on the RTI |

DIRECTIONS

Once you are into Cape Breton which is fairly easy sence there is only one way in from the main-land..... you drive to "MARRION BRIDGE" or find the "TWO RIVERS WILDLIFE PARK", at eather place we will have signes posted with arrows, follow the arrows from Marrion Bridge and it will take you to two rivers wildlife park, and right across the street is where you turn off, now follow the signs on this road, this will take you to "CHAPEL ROAD" which is where the zuki-fest is, at the end of the road(for cars anyways) there is anouther road/ trail/ drive way which is where you want to go, not too far in there you will be able to turn left and you'll get to a gate(it'll be open, and we might have someone there with the papers that you must sign stating that know one is responsible for damages of injories caused to you or you vechical, and other terms we would like you to follow, from there you keeps going up the mountain till you hit the camp site, then you find a place to park, set up camp, relax, and talk to other zukers.......:^), if you need any farther direction e-mail me and i'll be happy to help you out......... hope to see everyone there...... Mike
NOTE: there is no showers available on site............there is an outhouse, and a clean brook that comes from a water fall for drinking water..........
