The issues involved in the creation of an internet presence for your company are :

Objective : The successful site will enhance the image and effectiveness of your company by providing accurate information about the range of services you offer in a user-friendly, stimulating and convenient manner.

Site Qualities : The site will be visually interesting, through the use of graphics, scanned photos and animation, where appropriate. Any graphics used will be minimized in file size to increase the download speed of the site without degrading visual quality. The pages will be professional in appearance and images may be used throughout to enhance the information and increase readability. The look and colours on the site will conform to those currently used in existing promotional material for your company. Likewise, company standards and logos already in existence may be used in a consistent manner on the website also.

( Site size for purposes of this estimate is ten pages. All costs are approximate and subject to change.)

Domain Name Registration : The cost of registering a unique domain name (e.g. jamaintenance.com) is $X , depends on availability and must be paid from a US bank account.
( I do not think always think that this is neccessary for your company. A less memorable web address can often be just as effective and is free. )

Hosting : I would often suggest that a free hosting service (e.g.Angelfire) be used. The site will be online at all times all year round however a small pop-up ad for the host may be seen by visitors. Alternatively Web Hosting services of J$1650 per month are available locally.

Research / Strategy / Marketing : Careful thought will be given to ensure that the website fits in with your existing and future marketing aims.

Editing / Writing / Typography : Your company will be expected to provide the neccesary written material which will then be edited and rewritten as neccessary for maximum impact.

Graphic Design / Layout : Photos and other images from existing brochures or other promotional material can be scanned for use on your website also. Further images may also be designed as you require.

Progamming (HTML, Java Script) : The written copy and Graphical layout will be formatted into Hypertext Mark-up Language. The standards most widely used on the Internet will be observed.

Website Promotion : The URL ( Unique Resource Locator ), or web address, of your site must be submitted to various Search Engines ( e.g. Yahoo) to enable computer users worldwide to find your site easily.

Website Maintenance and Updating : Additional changes and updates to the site after it is initially designed will be billed at a rate of J$285.00 per hour.

Testing / Statistics/ Analysis : Your site will be tested to ensure that it is compatible with Internet Explorer and Netscape (the most popular browsers) as well as with less popular browsers such as Opera. To measure effectiveness of your site, statistical analysis of your web sites visitors may also be provided.
