The first meeting to inquire into the possibility of establishing fire protection for Thorburn and Greenwood and possibly Section 15 in general, was held on June 11, 1960. From humble beginnings as most fire departments start with, we progressed over the years to where we are now.

Nov 1973 1st 2 Scott Paks purchased
New hall built in 1974 - 76 on land donated
Pager system installed Apr 1980
