Tourist Visas: For citizens of most countries the first month in Belize is free. For the following 5 months one can renew her/his tourist visa for $12.50 each month.
Thereafter the renewal fee is $25.00 per month.
Working Visas: If no Belizean can be found to occupy an advertised job, a 1 year temporary work permit, costing between $100 and $500 can be obtained. After having spent 6 continuous months in the country, a self-employment work permit can be obtained for the same fee and same duration.
Residence Permit: After having spent one year in the country, a permanent residence permit can be obtained for about $600.
Dependents' Permit: Dependents of the person holding a work visa can obtain a dependents' permit for ~$40.
