Why We Ask People to Leave to Apply
There are two times when a potential member must leave a garden to make an application to a garden. The first
time is at the end of the work exchange program when applying for trial membership; the
second is at the end of the trial membership period when applying for full membership.
We feel that it is important to take a week or longer to reflect upon the experience of one's
visit to a garden before deciding to make a major move toward joining us. For us as well it is important to have some space to reflect upon the visit.
