12-17-99---- Pokemon World To Be Built In Kyoto
Nintendo Co. president, Hiroshi Yamauchi announced in Kyoto on Friday, plans to build a "Pokemon World" theme park in Kyoto, based on the characters from the Pocket Monster franchise. Nintendo has asked the Kyoto municipal government for help in the search for a possible site for the project within, or around the city and plans to complete construction of the park 1 year after a location is found. The municipal government had agreed to help in the search for a suitable location for the theme park as it will add a new attraction to the city's ancient temples and shrines. The park could be the size of the Tokyo Dome (about 47,000 square meters), and is likely to draw Pokemon fans from around the world, some are already calling it Japan's Disney Land. That may be an applicable title as Mr. Yamauchi has said that he planned to make the Pokemon characters as popular as Mickey Mouse.
Pokemon Neo
  There are new cards out people. They are called Pokemon Neo Cards. And just like with Uppa, they are marked with the double white star rarity symbol. These cards feature Pokemon from Gold and Silver. The cards include all of the starting pokemon, plus that weird blackbird pokemon and a new type of energy, Night Energy? Nocturnal Energy? Revelation Lugia Release Date December 19th, 1999 Release Date Revealed
Ok, if you remember about the upcoming movie called "Revelation Lugia" where the 5th legendary bird Pokemon called "Lugia" or "Rugia" shows up, we have heard that the date when the movie will be released in US is on July 12, 2000. Cool huh? I guess people just can't wait to see this new movie. 
Uppa Card?
New Upaa card? Yep, this cute old Upaa was given away in Japan on two days ago in a Japanese comic book supposedly. Its the newest and rarest card of them all. If you notice that it has a double white star, meaning extra rare. Why an upaa though? Why not a Lugia? Strange... what is so special about this Pokemon? This glossy white double star promo is going to be really hard to find. Notice there is a new design on the cards too, I also heard there is some kind of substance on the card [within it?] that doesn't allow counterfiters.

Emperor in the Crystal Tower page is now up with info on the movie. Right now we just have a short summary on the movie, but soon we will have more info, including it's release date, and we will also have some info on the short film to be played with the movie entitled Pichu and Pikachu.
 New Gold/Silver Gameboy
Lookie that, a gold/silver version of GameBoy! This is the third version in the series of Pokemon Game Boy packages. They were released not in US but in Japan by Pokemon Center stores which are famous in Japan. This GameBoy has a special feaure to change from gold to silver colors when viewed under various angles under while light. Maybe that's the reason they have been already sold out after being sold on November 21, 1999. Plus, this special GameBoy package includes a pair of Pikachu Batteries as seen on the picture on the right.
