Daniels Pipe Organ

'2000' E.Power Biggs Fellow recipient

I have releathered all of the pallet valves. Some cyphers were caused by shrinkage in the old leather. THis organs history is written in the windchest as follows "The chest bellows and action was made by W.E. Greenwood 1881 at St Johns THe founder of the buisness sold out to Paine D.W. Before the organ was finished. Regulated And tuned by W.E. Greenwood now at Toronto1896" this organ was built for Middleton Anglican Church and taken out in 1976. The melodia now replaces the 8' Bourdon.(tc) which brings the organ to its original specs, the melodia was missing when I got the organ ,so I replaced it with a bourdon. THe organ Specs are as follows at Present
Manual:
8' Stopped Diapason 12pipes
8'Melodia (tc)46pipes

8' Open Diapason 58 pipes
8' Dulciana ( using lowest 12 notes of Stopped Diapason 46pipes)
4' Octave 58pipes
2' Fifteenth 58pipes
Pedal:
16' Bourdon 25 pipes
total pipes 303 pipes
This past August of 2000 I had the privelege of being Chosen by the Organ Historical Society as an "E.Power Biggs Fellow".This meant that I had a trip ,expences paid to the Annual Organ Historical Societies Convention Which was Held in Boston .I had a Great trip.

A great place to Get a used Pipe Organ is the Organ Clearing House. This place is a great place for a church or home hobbiest Pipe Organ fanatic with a low budget. Many Churches and homes that otherwise couldnt afford a new pipe Organ ,have been able to afford a good used one because of this place. A link is down below to the Organ Clearing House.
