We are an organization representing the Head Temple Taisekiji and His Holiness
The High Priest Nikken Shonin of the Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist Sect in the Republic of
the Philippines. Our task is propagation of the True Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin in
this country. For this purpose, we conduct regular activities aiming at introducing
the people of the Philippines to the practice of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism.
We hold regular shakubuku (introductory) and study meetings at members' homes, give lectures,
have gongyo (morning and evening prayers) recitations, shodaikai (chanting sessions) and perform
numerous other activities for the sake of Kosen-Rufu (Worldwide Propagation).
Our determination is to contribute to the worldwide movement of spreading this Buddhism by
helping the people of the Republic of the Philippines and other countries to
change their destiny, overcome their problems and be able to lead happy and fulfilling
lives, which, in turn, will help establish a peaceful and prosperous society in
this country and the rest of the world.
The central part of our practice is chanting the words NAM-MYO-HO-REN-GE-KYO to
the Gohonzon, the Object of Supreme Respect in Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism.
