Maria Balthazar
Maria is the daughter of Nicola Baltthazar and her grandfather is Ol'Man Bal (the man in the cave in the desert). Her gear was designed by Nicoli, who was experimenting with artifical inteligence. Later in the game you have to kill Nicoli to defend Shevat against him because he fused his mind with a gear and couldn't control it.
