Lord Deus @ 12.57am cst - Sorry guys... pop ups are back.

Well I'd hate to do this, but I've been giving this alotof thought lately. As some of you know I have 2 other passions besides Metal music. Those two being, Gaming and Anime. At first I was honestly contemplating revamping the entire lostbards and transforming it into a Local Anime site. There just aren't enough true metalheads in this area. And anime is a widely popular. and easily accesible artform. I was paying 10 dollars a month for a site that no one visits and I rarely put time in.

However the anime issue is on the backburner, the real news is that I will be cancelling my account with angelfire. Why? Because I will be begin my commitment to The World of Warcraft. SO i figure i could save some money this way. Unfortunately the popups will be back in full force... give me time to change all the "main page" links back to https://www.angelfire.com/ns/lostbards/index.html instead of www.lostbards.com, because the dot.com will be gone as well.

I do want to thank all who do visit often even though thre are hardly any updates. I will continue to write reviews even if i create an anime webpage. So dont fret, i will still keep one foot in the ocean of metal. Thanks again all!

Lord Deus @ 1.01pm cst - NEW Featured CD and some issues to address

Sup everyone! I wrote yet another review. This time for the much anticipated new CD from Nightwish!! I thought I'd give you guys who visit the site often something new to read. Its a great CD, I loved it!

I also noticed that angelfire added a very annoying search bar that springs from the left side... I'm about to look into getting rid of that after i update the site today so hopefully it will disappear soon. I'm also going to fix the banner on the message board... its my pic but angelfire i guess wants control over all the data on their servers. So that sucks too. oh well... later on!

Lord Deus @ 1.09am cst - I throw my creative 2 cents in!

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates... I had a gracious opportunity offered to me from my friend Jake of the bands Dust and Fannin Falls. Well actually I had wanted to sing in the past but never really had the drive nor the program on my comp to do it. So I asked Jake if he'd let me sing one of his songs, so he sent me the instrumental track of one of his songs, and I wrote lyrics and sang to it. I tried my best to sing in a voice that matched the music... it may not be perfect, but I think I succeeded. Sorry for the popping you may hear in the mp3. Thats my mic. Hey i recorded on my crappy mic in the kitchen!! Not very good equipment nor acoustics! Thanks again Jake for letting me have a go at this! It was fun, id love to do it again. Anyway for your listening enjoyment... the song (it has no name yet..hey its Jake's song ill let him decide)

Lord Deus @ 6.32am cst - Megadeth Returns to Metal??

Yes, I know. We have heard this same song and dance before. However, on a recent update regarding the new Megadeth album and remasters, Mustaine was quoted by saying,

"It seemed that the last eight years or so, everyone was trying to get Megadeth to sound or write like someone else. I realized this during this whole surgical procedure. I can tell where everything switched tracks.

It was when NIRVANA became successful in 1992 and alternative music started to displace metal.

That was when it started.

This is where it ends."

Could this mean a return to Rust in Peace or Peace Sells... sound? Lets hope so, but don't hold your breath.

Lord Deus @ 2.15am cst - Aeris Review Up!

Hey guys! I apologize for the lack of updates this week. I really don't have an excuse for it, but it won't happen again. I promise.

I added a new review. Something that won't happen often. I reviewed a local show. Normally I won't do this because but because a review was requested so heavily, I made an exception this time. The review isn't 100% due to the fact that I had to come and go twice, but I reviewed what I saw. Enough talk! Read! You may find the link in the Local Show Review section.

Lord Deus @ 12.11am cst - Bunch of Lil' Updates!

Alright, I have a bunch of stuff worth mentioning. First off, the message board. Thanks for all who gave me feedback! Seems like we'll keep this one for awhile. I have also updated its look, its more "lost bardish" now.

Also I have updated the band page, specifically Corvus' page. You'll also notice the dead links on the left are gone, and now we have a simpler list of links. Including a new Columns page where I invite anyone to write any opinions you may have in the form of a small essay, I also plan to write as well. If your interested in being a regular columnist let me know! Email me!
