Christ Child
Angels held their breath, with great anticipation
Word had spread across the land, which caused a huge sensation
This is it, they cried, with amazement and surprise
A miracle is happening before their very eyes
What joy He hath given, a blessing in every way
Forever we will be saved, always since this day
Thunder roared across the land, the ground shook with wonder
New stars appeared in the same night's sky we now stand under
I know now true glory, real freedom, peace and love
All of these gifts given to us, as well as Heaven above
The first soft cries ring out, so simple, pure and true
A babe in arms, with strength abound, His life of miracles yet to do
His pain not yet felt, his tears still wait to shed
His wonder and innocence to be lost in what's ahead
This child born to Mary but to die for us all
Gladly giving everything to allow us to stand tall
So on this great occasion, raise your head, and bend your knees
Shout to the Lord, or whisper softly,"You are so great to me"
"Thank You Lord, oh, thank You. I love You true and real"
"My burdens gone, my sorrow lost. My heart and soul are healed"
"Your blood, Your pain, Your grace. Has saved me from despair"
"I'm forever in your hands. The Full Armor of God I proudly wear."
