What are we?
The
IMGP is an independent group founded to support development of stable democracy
and human rights in the Kosovo area through implementation in a human rights,
pluralistic media policy and culture trough development of information and
publicity resources as a non-political service available to the local
population.

Who are we?
IMGP
is the first registered Serb NGO in Kosovo. The initiative to run a group of is
promoting IMGP experienced and professional mediators based in Pristina and
after that in Gracanica. Through their own personal experience as a journalists and
publishers with new constantly emerging local media they became
aware of the necessity of on spot training for potential media professionals
and potential human rights workers. They are convinced that such a training has
to be based not only on special skill development, but also on general
affirmation of such democratic values as human rights, freedom of speech, press
independence, transparency and free access to information and decision making
process.
At
the same time IMGP is convinced that considerable effort has to be invested
into projects aimed towards education of media audience and news consumers so
that they become more receptive to democratic values and tolerance.
What are our goals?
Our
basic goal is to assist promotion of a democratic way of life through human
rights and to document and promote – through books, scripts, round tables, seminars,
film, TV and radio monitoring and reporting – all positive ongoing changes in
Kosovo.
The
task of The IMGP is to produce independent new service and media campaigns
designed to assist a peace building process in the post conflict area. These campaigns
would be performed independently or in co-operation with other civil society
groups. IMGP is also prepared to offer its own creative and production
capacities to other contractors and thus assist other groups in achieving a
higher professional level of their own media campaigns.
A
separate block of IMGP production projects would be reserved for public
education and orientation programs aimed to assist the human rights and media
audience to better embrace democratic society values, to understand and perform
their civic rights, and create a safe, health and stable environment.
What our philosophy is?
Our
priority is to contribute to a wide and free access to human rights,
information and media for all individuals with no distinction, and to assist
media entities and news policies to perform an adequate service to the Kosovo
communities. The IMGP philosophy is based upon individual freedom and promotion
of spiritual and material creativity and its active role in the society that
can support development of a democratic society.
On
the Kosovo territory the idea is to contribute to consolidation of the
atmosphere of tolerance and to the democratic co-existence for all citizens
living in this area with no distinctions based on national, ethnic or religious
affiliation.
