Andrew Lamb is a long time resident of Scarborough, Ontario, and a member of the Cedar Ridge Studio Gallery. Andrew retired from a career in management consulting in 2003. Since retirement he has returned to his lifelong interest in art with a primary focus on sculpture. He enjoys the contrast of working in both clay and stone. When working with clay, he hand builds all his pieces and specializes in using Raku glazing and firing techniques to finish them. When working in stone, he works primarily with soapstone, alabaster and marble.
Andrew’s sculptures have been exhibited at juried members’ shows at the Cedar Ridge Creative Centre as well as the 2007 ‘Scarborough Artists Exhibit’ at the Scarborough Civic Centre. He won First Prize in the sculpture category at the Framing Dames First Annual Juried Show in June of 2007. This June he won the Second Prize in the Framing Dames Second Annual Juried Show 2008.
