William Bloomfield WRIGHT was born about 1832 in Sydney. He has given his parents' names as William WRIGHT, Clerk, and Jane
NIXON. I haven't been able to find any record of his birth. The closest I have come so far is a William Nixon WRIGHT, a convict who
was transported for Life to NSW from County Monaghan in Ireland in 1829. He worked in the Superintendent of Convicts Office as a
Clerk. His wife Jane joined him in 1830, however, he absconded in late 1833 and was last seen in the Sandwich Islands [Hawaii]
heading for America. William Nixon WRIGHT was the son of a prominent family of Clergy and Solicitors in Ireland. He had attended
Trinity College Dublin.
William Bloomfield WRIGHT married Eliza Ann HAYWARD in Belambi, Wollongong in 1859, they lived there until the late 1800s when they
moved to Narrandera. Intensive research still hasn't indentified William B's parents.

Elizabeth Margaret BLUNDELL born c.1845 possibly at Sydney,to parents ,father known just as BLUNDELL and mother Margaret KELSEY.Father was a gardner. Elizabeth married Henry William MARTIN ,at Ryde,NSW in 1865. Elizabeth's sister Harriett married George MARTIN ,Henry's brother.
They came from around the areas of Ryde,Hunters Hill,Gladesville.

I am trying to trace Eliza H McIVOR no birth date. Married ? Joseph LAING 1885.
Eliza gave birth to Joseph H 1891-1891 in NSW and Joseph Heaven 1894 NSW.
My grandfather John MCI Heaven McIVOR born 1904-1974 NSW is her son. And from here I have drawn a blank. Being on a pension makes it harder to access info for a fee. My father was born in Manly, New South Wales, Eliza is his Grandmother.
No other details. Possibly born interstate or overseas .

My great uncle came to Australia c1920. His name I am led to understand was James JOHNSON. He married a lady called Jane I surname possibly STANFIELD. They had a daughter called Ve who married a man called M. MATTHEWS. Jane I JOHNSON died in October 1961. At the time of her death, the memorial notice was addressed in the Parramatta area. Is there anyone out there who would know these people???

Looking for the family of John CUMMINGS b. abt 1862, his father was also John CUMMINGS, mother Eleanor OLIVER. This information was on his marriage cert. taken out in Bloomington, McClean Co., Illinois USA 1892 to Anna Belle SLAGEL.
It is thought the Cummings family came from Ireland.
Young John CUMMINGS came to USA in abt 1880 from Australia.. Trade at the time of marriage was a Baker.
John my grandmother Barbara's father, she was born April 1893. John left the wife in 1893. It is thought his family was still in Melbourne area of Australia in 1893.
John spoke of living before he came to the USA in the Melbourne area where his family also was still living in 1892.
1890 USA census was distroyed, hence not able to check it.
A possible is a John CUMMINGS in the USA, listed in the 1900 census in Cole Co., IL. showing him born in Dec. 1861 Ireland, moved to America 1880, this John shown to be single in this census, and listed his trade as a Baker.
Any assistance would be of great help in finding the family of my grt grandfather CUMMINGS.

I am trying to trace Edna Kathleen SMITH (my grandmother) d. 2.3.1952 age 42? at Liverpool NSW. On my mothers birth certificate it says she was born at Inverell, NSW about 1908? Edna married at Penrith, NSW on 7.5.1925 to Norman F SLADE b. 1903 at Wilicannia NSW. Norman's parents are Edward F SLADE and he married Susan McBRIDE/MacBRIDE in 1891 at Broken Hill. I can't seem to get any futher with my search. I am wondering if this might be enough info for someone to make a match. None of my info seems to match the dates that I have. Edna & Norman's children are Edna May Slade, Norma Francis Slade, Percival John Slade, Amelia R Slade, Doreen Gloria Slade, Valerie Ada Slade (my mother) and Norman Slade. I was told that Norman & Edna were in childrens homes. I don't know if this is true or not. .

Cecilia MADDEN born in Port Dunblar Galway in 1900, she came to
Australia on the war brides ship in 1919. Cecilia married Michael O'MEARA in Dublin
on his way home from the war. I know that she also has relatives in Queensland and cousins on her mothers
side in Sydney. She always talked about her DOYLE cousins, so I wonder if her sister married a Doyle!!!! coincidentally I am also a Doyle but not related.
Cecilia and Michael lived in Young for many years after the war,
but I have absolutely no other information on her.

Hi, I am looking for my ggrandfather John James HARLEY. John was born in Sholing near Southampton, Hampshire circa 1857. His father was James and a mariner. I don't know who his mother was. John married my ggrandmother on the 8 May 1880 in Southampton. My ggrandmother was Sarah Annie Bembrick COX. I have details of their marriage and their children were Rose Ada Bembrick Harley (my grandmother) born 1881, Maud Louise Bembrick Harley born 1883. Then they had John, Nell, Daisy and Jim. I don't know when they were born, except that Daisy ran away and joined up with a travelling circus. Sarah Annie Bembrick Harley died in Southampton on the 18th March 1901 and is buried there. John was the informant on her death cert. The only information I have is that John died in Australia. The Archives in Tasmania I have searched and there is no trace of him there. He was a mariner and wouldn't have lived beyond 1957.I have a niece in New Zealand who is going to go the Archives there for a search. John would have been about 44 when his wife died, and may have married again here in Australia.

Searching for the descendants of Duncan and Margaret (Cameron) MacNaughton who emigrated from Fort William on the Clipper "Clifton" in 1853. They arrived at Port Phillip and settled in Melbourne for three years and then went to Inverleigh. They called their home "Lochaber".
Duncan and Margaret had eight children. Margaret, Ann, George,Donald, Duncan, Isabella, Catherine and John.
There was contact a few years ago with Mrs Maisie Irwin, Ballarat, who was a G.G. Grandaughter, but that contact has been lost. She had children and grandchildren, so there are descendants.

Looking for the death of Samuel John Parker Gill. According to his sons'
birth certificate Samuel died in 1864 in Chiltern Vic. My guess is the
parents were simply separated.
Wife Mary, nee: Bressinan/Brushingham/Bristowhen or any other spelling. I
have about 10 spellings for this lady.
Mary remarried John Henderson in 1866. I would like to try and find her
death, ? in NSW.
Children from the first marriage were John and
William Henry and from her second marriage Alexander. All boys took the name of
Parker for whatever reason.
Samuel was 27 in 1859, Mary was 23 in 1859.

Queensland at the age of 4 with parents George SMITH and Amelia COLWELL
sisters Harriet and Georgina. Married Malinda HEMMINGS in 1910. Malinda
died in 1920 and the two daughters Malinda and Louisa Amelia Jane went to
live with an Aunt in Melbourne.
Cannot find any further trace of Leonard. Believe he remarried and may have

Rosenlund while in Sweden. She and her husband emigrated

Joseph Cooper, b London, England, ( Church of England),came to Aust-date or on which boat unknown) married Anna/Hannah Higgins. She appears to have been Catholic (b Cork, Ireland, dob: unknown and cannot trace anything in Ireland) on 12/12/1842, Parish of Kelso, Bathurst, NSW. Joseph place of death unknown. Hannah died at Sunny Corner.
Children:
Matilda (my ggm) born 1850 in Bathurst. The Cooper line from her died out as she had no sons.

they had three other children who died.
Hugh Marshall and Jane Montgomery. Then came from Antrim, Ireland and were married about 1828 and came out to Australia on the "Elphinstone" about 1840 and settled firstly in the Ultimo area and then moved to the Bathurst area. Hugh died at Rock Station Levels, Young and Jane died (I think) in Dubbo.

Am looking for any information on the MALRAISON family. Another variant of this surname is de MALRAISON. Septimus and Annie (nee OSMAN) came to Australia early 1890's. Believe they went to South Australia , and then to Western Australia late 1890's early 1900's. They lived in the South Perth, Swan View areas. They had an only daughter (Dorothy). Nicknames were Dorrie, Doll, Dolly. Dorothy married Cecil TUCKEY of Mandurah in 1917. Any information on this family would be fantastic. I know of all the descendants of this couple (Septimus and Annie) but know nothing of the couple themselves.

My brick wall is John SMITH married Lavinia MORGAN in 1882 Deloraine, Tasmania. It
has he was aged 26 which means he was born 1856 [family said he was known as
Deloraine Jack.] He lived at Preston, Tasmania maybe he was called that because that
is where he was born. He died 21.4.1934 Burnie, Tasmania but his age is 82 which
means he was born 1852.
I have traced his wife and children but can't find
out who his parents or siblings are.

I am trying to trace my family tree from Australia and New Zealand. My
father was born in Seaford near Melbourne. My Grandfather was born in NZ but then naturalized to Aus. I believe my Great Grandfather came originally from Ireland. I live in the UK. Their names where Maurice, Thomas. S. & Patrick HEATH.

In amongst our ancestors, we have a Clementina FRASER (b.1822, Scotland - m. Donald ROSS ) who had several brothers. Would be interested in the details of the births of Elizabeth 1855 and Hugh 1848. The interest is doubled because we also have a Christina McPHERSON (b.?1833/1835) who married Angus ROSS in 1835 - they settled in and around Wedderbur.
Any information greatly appreciated.
