Atlantic Canadian Hockey History

Hockey has a long histroy in Atlantic Canada. Infact, the game itself was invented here in the early 1800's in Windsor, Nova Scotia.  Although Halifax-Dartmouth also makes a claim as the birtplace of hockey.

Over the years the Atlantic region has enjoyed hockey at just about every level. We have had teams in the Junior A, B, and C divisions plus teams in the Quebec Major Junior League. We have had teams in the minor American Hockey League. The Atlantic region has had teams in the senior division as well. In the 1990's the local university loop became the best in Canada. Halifax even hosted a few NHL neutral site games in the early 1990's.

I am FINALLY working on this site, please be patient with any missing information or broken links.
